Since 2014 North Korea has significantly ramped up their testing of long range missiles, information about those tests is often scattered and incomplete, making hard to construct a picture of how meaningful Kim Jong-un developments have been in the North Korean context.
Bellow is a unique look into the most comprehensive dataset available on North Korea missile launches, compiled by The James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies.
Some dimensions of the data, as for example the range of the missiles, have only been more consistently available on the last three years. It’s impossible to be sure how much of this dataset reflects the real tests, still it gives an interesting perspective on the documented military developments happening in North Korea.
